Choose Hosting - 1and1.com

I may have blogged on this before but I find it so important to try an get you to undertand how important a reliable hosting company is. There are alot of them out there and they are all scrambling to get your money. However, if you are going to build a web business or just a hobby site you need to eventually decide on one. Preferably you want one that is low cost, high result and low down time - at most 1%. You need for this puppy to be up at least 99% of the time and most of all you do not want to be nickled and dimed to death.
When it comes to recommending a hosting company and with all things being equal, I have alway liked 1and 1.com. I have never had a problem with them. Their prices for there different packages are good considering all of the features that you get. I think they are good for the newbie - they have alot of stuff for the dollar and I have never had any down time from them. However. some people don’t like the fact that their call center is in India - but then again who’s call center isn’t in India these days?

But when you think about it, don’t we all have people in our lives, whether it be at home or work that will on occasion come to us for advice. I know some people that have a couple blogs on the net right now and an audience that follows closely to their new posts. Blogging effectively- Your topic- Of course having a topic that is relevant in peoples lives is something you want to have.. a blog that people are eager to check everyday for new content. Read more

You know my aunt, some time ago, ran a website. She actually did it for my uncle who has since past away but at the time was a carpenter and trying to sell his creations. They actually created a business - got the LLC and everything. He was a very talented and gifted guy who built anything from a cookoo clock to a 4 piece bedroom set…yeah, no kidding! - but he couldn’t spell web much less design a website or determine how he should market his stuff.
Well anyway, once she got 1and1.com as her hosting company and then had me build the site - which I did using Joomla and RocketTheme themes, she asked me how she could get the word out about my uncles masterpieces. I suggested ezine articles. I thought that there must be a ton of people would want his stuff and most importantly alot of other people who did woodworking as a hobby who may want to know how he created his grandfather clocks and such. He was that good. Read more
