Network With Other Website Owners

If you are new to starting a web business of any kind, then the acquisition of help and advice will be important. Networking with your fellow web site owner is key to making your learning curve easy to navigate. One site that I found that is rather new and most helpful for the newbie is called the Website Owner Zone or http://www.thewozone.com.

The Website Owner Zone is a growing community of website owners who participate in a whole host of businesses - all too numerous to mention. However the key to this website is its community aspect and all the tools that go along with it. They have the typical community functionality like forums, blogs, reviews, groups, buddy lists and discussions. You can also add videos, photos and events to your profile as well as choosing a unique look to your page. One unique aspect of the Website Owner Zone is they also allow you to promote yourself but within reason. Please no over the top spamming. They do allow you to advertise your site more heavliy to the community for $4.99 per month.

However, the best part of this growing community is the networking. You can meet so many website owners and be able to share your ideas with them as well as get advice. Socializing, networking and learning is the key to making this social network a worth while time investment. Currently, at the time of this writing they have 741 members but it is growing.

The site was started by Adrianna - a work at home mom, if you will. The reason she started the site, as she puts it:

“The reason why I started this site was because I was going around like a maniac getting information on how to do better advertising for my website. Then it occurred to me, why not get all web owners together and compare notes instead of running around in circles? At the same time we can become friends. “
